Fish Point is a beautiful anchorage at the southern tip of Pelee Island. There is sandy bottom here and generally good holding, but make sure your anchor is well set.
A sand bar extends south from the island, and offers great protection from West or North winds.
Don't forget to clear customs. It's required if you're anchoring in Canadian waters. You have to clear at a an approved site, like Dick's, Scudder's or West Dock.
If you sail with friends, you can arrange to party on the biggest boat!
Here Dick and Polly host Dave, Ginny, Mark, Linda, Mike, Debby, and the crew of Bat's Wings.

Fish Point Anchorage, Pelee Island, Canada
Don't anchor overnight if you expect winds out of the south -- you'll have a sleepless night (I can attest to that).
If the winds are out of the east, sail around Fish Point and anchor on the West side of the sand bar.
Be careful - the tip sand bar extends quite a distance towards the east. Don't run aground.
Also, look out for fish nets and stakes on the West side of Pelee
