The "rear end" of compass protrudes through bulkhead wall. AM/FM/stereo cassette radio (mounted vertically) is in lower right hand side of picture. I wired it up so when you control fader, front to rear, you control balance of volume in cockpit or in cabin. So at night, you could play inside cabin without bothering neighbors.
The hatch cover slides forward of this area of cabin. Thus, you can stand up while working at stove or sink. Note also that the dodger covers this area - with dodger up you can stand in companionway and use sink or stove, with your head covered by dodger.
